Welcome to Raise the C.L.I.M.A.T.E.

Raise the C.L.I.M.A.T.E. (Civic Learning Initiative Motivating African Americans to Excellence) is a call to action. It is an idea that Robert M. Cunningham  Jr. credits God for giving him. Motivated by studying Black History, he began realizing how important it is for this knowledge to be passed down from generation to generation.  The false narratives that are portrayed in media and the systemic racist ideologies about African American men, women, and children continue to threaten our love for self and our relationships with others.  

Because of this fact, it is important that we begin to create change within our communities.  We will provide initiatives and unique opportunities that promote current and historic information that  gives clear evidence of the contributions of African Americans in society. 

The motto, “For Those Forgotten and For Those to Come!”, reflects the heartbeat of our organization.
